At the heart of my work is a belief in the transformative potential of genuine human connection. As a Gestalt psychotherapist, supervisor and group facilitator, I offer a warm, thoughtful and collaborative space where people can explore their experiences, relationships and the challenges of being human. My approach is relational, embodied and creative. I am curious about the whole person: what we think and feel, what our bodies communicate, and what happens between us in the present moment. I believe that meaningful change often begins not with trying to become someone different, but with finding the freedom to recognise, experience and accept more of who we already are. I value authenticity, compassion and the courage to meet uncertainty. I don't believe that everything needs to be explained or resolved. Sometimes the most meaningful work happens when we allow ourselves to stay with what is difficult, unknown or not yet understood. I bring my own humanity, curiosity and presence to this exploration, offering both support and challenge within a relationship of mutual respect. I recognise that our lives are shaped by far more than our individual experiences. Relationships, culture, community, the wider world, and questions of meaning and belonging all form part of the field in which we live. I welcome exploration of these dimensions, including spiritual or existential experiences, without imposing a particular interpretation. In supervision, I offer a reflective and collaborative relationship that supports practitioners to deepen awareness, explore uncertainty and develop their own authentic practice. In groups and workshops, I value the richness of shared experience, creative experimentation and learning through encounter. Across all my work, I hope to create a space where people feel able to bring more of themselves, discover new possibilities and experience meaningful connection.

Perhaps you are curious about why you do what you do, or how the world around you has shaped the person you are today. Maybe you feel a sense of being stuck, or you are navigating a life transition that feels heavy to carry alone. Regardless of what brings you here, I believe that growth happens within the context of a supportive and authentic relationship and that it is through understanding and exploring the present process of relating that something new and vibrant can be created. I have always been fascinated by the human experience, not as a puzzle to be solved, but as a relationship to be explored. I believe that healing doesn't come from being "analysed" or judged, but from being deeply seen and understood in the present moment. My Approach I work relationally. This means I am less interested in labels or interpretations, and more interested in the "how" of your life. Together, we look at how you influence, and are influenced by, the people and world around you. In our sessions, we might focus on: The Present: Working with your immediate experience of what is and what happens next. Relational Process: Exploring the dynamics of how you connect with me and others in your life. Internal Family Systems (IFS): focusing on healing inner conflict by helping our parts safely release the burdens of trauma and stress. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing(EMDR): Structured approach to help to process trauma and "stuck" experiences. Experience & Interests My practice is grounded in years of experience in working in the NHS, private practice, higher education, and specialized services for acquired brain injury. Beyond the consulting room, my work is informed by a deep interest in Movement, Embodiment, and Community. While I work predominantly in a traditional therapeutic setting, I am nourished by the natural world and an understanding of how our physical selves and our communities sustain us.

I’m Dr. Tania Leigh, PhD, a UK-based Psychologist and UKCP-registered Psychotherapist with over 25 years of international experience in psychotherapy and occupational psychology. I can help IF YOU: • need help in solving psychological problems • need psychological support in difficult life situations or crises • want to get rid of the feeling of insecurity or psychological discomfort • experience relationship difficulties • want to understand yourself better • need professional support in personal growth and development I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. As Hermann Hesse wrote, “Each man’s life represents a road toward himself…” Therapy can be a meaningful part of that journey—especially when stress, anxiety, depression or burnout leave you feeling stuck or disconnected. My approach is grounded in Gestalt psychotherapy, which emphasises awareness, authentic dialogue and attention to what is happening "here and now". Together, we explore what feels meaningful as our work unfolds, allowing space for different experiences, questions and discoveries; not only what feels difficult, but also what’s possible—creating space for insight, growth, and more fulfilling ways of being. My practice is multimodal. Alongside dialogue and reflection, I may draw on bodily awareness, emotions, imagery, metaphor and creative experiments, depending on the person and what emerges during sessions. I do not offer ready-made answers or a predetermined path. I bring my time, attention, genuine interest, and professional commitment. You can begin your journey where you are, and together, we will explore what emerges along the way. I offer online and in-person sessions in North Wales, in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
