About my practice

You might be struggling with feelings you can't make sense of, reacting in ways you don't understand, or finding that familiar ways of managing life are no longer working. Perhaps you're used to looking after others and coping independently, even when things feel difficult inside. Therapy offers space to pause, explore what's happening and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. When your body reacts before you do - You might experience tension, anxiety or unease without knowing why, or feel overwhelmed, numb or disconnected from your body. Perhaps you spend a lot of time in your head, finding it harder to recognise what you're feeling or need. You don't have to revisit everything that has happened. Together, we can explore your experience at a pace that feels right for you, developing greater awareness and connection with yourself. When you're used to being the one who copes - Perhaps you're capable, responsible and someone others rely on. Yet you might feel exhausted, anxious or question your relationships, identity or direction in life. Therapy doesn't mean giving up your independence or failing to cope. It offers space to understand what's happening and discover new possibilities for change. Why work with me? I'm a UKCP accredited Gestalt psychotherapist, supervisor, trainer and former programme leader of the MSc Integrative programme at SPTI. My relational, collaborative approach is informed by my background as a professional dancer and movement practitioner. This has shaped my appreciation of the body's intelligence and how bodily awareness can deepen understanding, particularly when experiences are difficult to put into words. I also draw on training in trauma-informed practice and nervous system regulation. We can explore your experience through talking or creative and embodied approaches, finding a way of working that feels right for you.
